In the midst of forging the new path forward for the DC Universe, James Gunn has also been hard at work developing a new Superman movie titled Superman: Legacy. To celebrate the 85th anniversary of the Man of Steel, James Gunn revealed that the project is now deep in pre production. This includes costume and production design, and starting to look at who to cast for the movie. Superman: Legacy is expected to begin filming at the beginning of 2024.
